This is a vignette black & white view over treetops to a river and mountains beyond. In the distant river an arch of a bridge can be seen and a couple of houses are beyond that. The irregular border is very wide at the bottom where the card is titled SPEY BRIDGE, GRANTOWN. Along the left edge of the card is PRINTED BY VALENTINE LTD, DUNDEE. There is a pencil written message in the bottom border which is dated June 7 01. The reverse of the card is undivided, printed at the top is POST CARD. THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE. A green Queen Victoria ½d stamp is affixed which has a partial postmark for CRA??? JU 7 01. There is a pencil written address. This card is not in very good condition. There are small diagonal creases across both the top corners which have made them a little soft to touch. There is wear to all the corner tips. There is an arcing crease just below half way up the left edge which is visible on both sides of the card. The imprint of the postmark can be seen and felt on the front of the card. There is puckering to the card at the centre of the top edge. There are numerous light smudge marks on both sides of the card and it is discoloured with age on both sides. My photos are taken in close up to give as much detail as possible of the subject and to show any defects which may be present. Please bear in mind read more
