Up for sale is a RARE 1902 United States $5.00 NATIONAL CURRENCY NATIONAL BANK OF PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND !!!. This is from my collection of 25 years. I love this note because of the detail involved in making the plates for it, a real art form. A perfect example of "They don`t make them like they used to". I will be selling my large collection so be sure to check my other listings! Also please look at pictures and grade for yourself as I am not a professional, this note HAS fold/crease marks and a piece missing on the bottom !! I look at this note and could only imagine who carried it over 110 years ago. A TRUE AMERICAN CLASSIC !! If this note could only talk, I`m sure the stories would be AWESOME. I could only imagine how many saloon`s its been through, how many times it was used as a weeks pay check, how many famous people had used it to purchase things and how many not so famous people used it to buy everyday items. The possibilities are endless. I absolutely loved used currency, my mind runs wild every time I look at it.THIS NOTE IS FROM THE NATIONAL BANK OF PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND I will be listing old U.S currency for the next couple of weeks . Keep an eye on my listings and bid often. This is a true piece of AMERICANA !!! SO COOL This note is from a time when Banks had to guarantee the worth of these notes, not the government.
