Original 1902 Cincinnati Reds Team docucment with embossed seal. This is an official financial document in the amount of $3843.77 and dated August 15, 1902. It has been boldly signed by John T. Brush as team president and N. Ashley Lloyd the team secretary. Signed again by Lloyd on the reverse as well.John T. Brush is one of the most influential pioneers of early baseball and why he is not in the Hall of Fame is beyond me, and I think he eventually will be. Actually, he sort of is. When the Baseball Hall of Fame designed a plaque to be displayed of famous pioneers/owners/umpires/writers to be displayed at the Hall (before they were going to induct these types of people) Brush was one of the few whose name is permenantly etched in this Roll of Honor at the Hall. He was influential and hated in his time but his impact on the game is felt even today. He died in 1912 and his signature is very rare. If he was in the Hall of Fame, this would be worth 10X what it is now and is a great investment, especially on an official team document. Please look him up on the internet for more information on him. Shipping will be $4 and I accept Paypal, Checks and Money Orders.
