1903 Springfield Fingergroove Stock - ( 1908-1916 ). This is a very collectable 03 stock with markings as follows : ( s ) on tip faint, but there. ( E ) in cut-off area, Brophy's book describes them as ( 1908-1916 ). There is a ( P ) circled on the wrist,seriffed type. There is the inspectors stamp on left side ( P O T M ???) I can't read it, but it is pictured. Also a large rack # DK 100. A very FAINT ( R A W L ) on the wrist, lower right.This has 2 stock bolts, but the front one is smaller - ( could have been added later ). Overall this is about 85%+ condition for its age, no major cracks that I can find....Also very minor dents dings etc. It has a smooth buttplate, & a bayonet lug both Old Blue. The Handguard is the concave type & matches nicely, ( HANDGUARD ONLY - Has Been Glued & Fixed !!! ) but will be ok for display or minor use...The Entire Stock is overall in GOOD SHAPE and has NOT been glued, pinned, or anything else. Please look at this closely, I hope my description is good. Ships to USA only ....Thanks for looking ! ( sorry,I forgot that the upper band spring is missing....easy to get, but I don't have one )
