1903 UNUSUAL EARLY NAVAJO STERLING SOUVENIR SPOON Presented is a fine Navajo sterling silver souvenir spoon. This came from a large collection of Native American souvenir spoons. The spoon is monogrammed "B 1903" on the reverse. The handle of the spoon is done in the form of an arrow, and the bowl is engraved Navajo. This spoon was made by a Navajo silversmith and probably purchased right off the reservation. Most Native American spoons are from the 1930s to the present. In fact the vast majority are made after World War II. This spoon was obviously made in 1903 or perhaps a year or two earlier. The Navajo spoon is not marked, but we have tested it and guarantee it to be sterling silver. The spoon is in good overall condition. The Navajo spoon has a few small splits on the side of the bowl, but these are minor. The Navajo spoon is 5 1/4 inches long.
