Rare 1904 Teddy Roosevelt- Charles Fairbanks street flag flying across Main Street in Calais, Maine! The post card was intended to simply show a downtown scene at the post office on the corner of Main and Church Streets and happened by chance to be snapped during the Presidental Campaign of 1904. The card is tinted in natural colors and is in near mint condition with an undivided back. Manufactored by the Hugh C. Leigthon co. of Portland, Maine, it was printed in Frankfort, Germany. Beautiful early postcard with great Political content!
