A pair (2) of souvenir eggs from the World's Fair of 1904, in Saint Louis. "As Found" and both with some paint scratches. The unusual thing about one of these eggs is that t is still something inside it !! (sounds like wooden marbles) The other egg sounds empty. I cannot get either egg open. You can figure that out. I would rather sell them as is, than potentially damage them. You may find gold nuggets inside, rocks, or what my colleague thinks may be inside..CANDY. (I can't even imagine 100 year old candy). Of course, I can't guarantee that what is inside is the original contents either. Both measure 2" long x 1 1/2 " wide. The red egg has the Palace of Liberal Arts on the opposite side; the Gold Egg has the Transportation Building . Both also have the words - Souvenir World's Fair 1904 St. Louis .
