1905 OPALESCENT SERVING TRAY "WATERLILY WITH CATTAILS" According to my reference guide on Opalescent Glassware this pattern of glass was made circa 1905 . The pattern name that this design has been given is "Waterlily with Cattails" but is it also known a "Cattails and Waterlily". Both Fenton and Northwood Glass companies made this pattern and no known reproductions of this pattern at this time. This tray has a 10 1/8 inch diameter which would be the perfect size to be used as a Serving Tray . The slightly upturned edges of the dish are about 1 ½ inches tall and that would keep items such as cookies or cake from slipping off the tray. The design on the dish is on the underside tby leaving the top side smooth and easy to clean. Be sure though not to put your older glass pieces into a dishwasher as they were not made to withstand such treatment, a gentle hand-washing would be much better for your older glassware. I have checked this piece over and found NO CHIPS OR CRACKS in the glass! This is a BEAUTIFUL OPALESCENT ANTIQUE DISH one that would make a GORGEOUS DISPLAY PIECE at anytime!!
