From an Estate we have a neat - (Seldom Seen ) 1905 - No. 5 - Circus Menagerie Wagon made by D.P. Clark & Co. - Dayton, Ohio - Made with wood - stamped steel - Spur Gear Drive - Swinging wooden animal frame driven by axle mounted large pulley - Has the Dayton, Ohio "Tiger" under Driver's seat - Has the original cast iron Driver & original steering wheel - Has the original string that once droved the pulley that would swing the platform with 4 animals but the string has stretched out & will need to be replaced - 4 animals were thin litographed cardboard & attached to the swinging wood frame but these animals are gone from aging - The front wheels are made to turn - The heavy friction wheel turns but is a bit stiff - perhaps an oiling would help - Some of the original paint is still there - There is surface rust but not pitting - The floor - swinging platform - front panel & driver's seat are wood while the rest is stamped steel - Cage frame has no bends - Measures 14" long - 4-3/4" wide - 8-1/4" tall - Overall for a 100 plus year old Dayton toy this neat toy has survived decently from it's years of use with playful child time and it is - in - as - is - found - collectible & lovable condition - Please view our photos that we have provided as they are an important part of this listing -ANY QUESTIONS ?
