This is a small original oil of a Chinese junk. The back states "Chinese Oil Painting Of a Hong Kong Junk- Procured in Hong Kong China by W.J. Aylward- Dec. 1905-" William James Aylward (1875-1956.)was an artist known for his ship and sea paintings. His bio refers to a 16 month sea voyage he took aroiund the world in 1905. Has the losses and deep crease along the left side, corner wear, and could use a good cleaning. This small painting came out of the family postcards and the collection of Samuel T.
