Rare 1906 ADAMS-FARWELL 5-Cylinder CAR AD. Dubuque, IA + COMMERCE Trucks AD These two ads were published on opposite sides of the same page in a 1906 issue of "The Horseless Age" magazine. The Adams Company, Dubuque, Iowa. This car was technologically ahead of its time, especially for 1906. It was powered by a 5-Cylinder, Revolving Air-Cooled Motor that developed 40-45 HP. The company only survived from 1904-1913. This half-page ad measures 5" x 7 1/4". On the flip side, there is a full page ad from the American Machine Manufacturing Company of Detroit for their 2 1/2 Ton Commerce Motor Truck. The truck's rear wheels were chain-driven, which can plainly be seen in the large illustration. It was powered by a 4-Cylinder, 4-Cycle powerplant. Many other features listed. The ad measures approx. 8 1/2" x 11 3/4". Excellent Condition. Very Clean. No tears, stains, or creases. The paper is white and very flexible. No age toning or brown spots.
