Up for auction today is a photo album I purchased at the Antique Expo here in Portland Oregon . There are a total of 141 photos in this album and all of them are early 1900’s. The first 9 pages have to do with the San Francisco Earthquake in 1906. There are 20 real photos of the quake that say “Butler Photo”. I’ve been trying to do some research on Butler but can’t find too much; although I haven’t spent a great deal of time doing so. I do know that there was a well know West Coast photographer who was born in Pennsylvania but lived and had his photography studio in California and also Nevada .
