-Classic Prints for the Connoisseur- e 1908 Vanity Fair Lithograph "Knight of Kerry" 10 1/2" x 15" Vanity Fair was published in England from 1869 to 1914, and is unrelated to the later American magazine of the same name. This magazine had articles about the royal family, fashions of the day, and of course the weekly news. The highlight of each issue was a caricature of a well-known person. These figures ran the gamut from politicians to businessmen, doctors and scientists, legal and literary, military and musicians, theatrical, sports figures; golfers, jockeys, cricket players, Royalty, and Ladies. In this instance it's a portrait of Yachtsman, Sir Morris Fitzgerald. This is an original print. Many of these Vanity Fair lithographs were found in the original wrappings in which the printers had packed them, over a hundred years ago. They cannot be replaced, because the original plates no longer exist. Contact Me Use the seller link above for all questions and Customer Support.
