1910 Vintage Greenlees Brothers Claymore Scotch Whiskey Distiller Crockery Jug Pitcher (empty) stands 7" high x 5" wide at widest point I am no expert on this piece of pottery but the shape and glaze makes this an exquisite piece. It was part of a beloved collection of my mother in laws until her passing. Some research tells me this was a promotional piece in the early 1900's for the whiskey company. Its brown clay body is decorated with colored clay and glaze. It is in surprisingly good shape for a piece of this vintage. The cork is missing. T is a break near the spout that has been glued and a few minor chips in the same area (see photo details). Pictured on the front side is of two colonial men in a pub. They may be some well-known characters from history or fiction, not sure. The backside is stamped with the Claymore company initials and the date 1910. The bottom shows all the Claymore symbols (the red dot is not original but some stray marking, might have been to identify different family members items) Add it to your treasures. Bid today. Added closeup picture of bottom: The markings show that this was crafted by Royal Doulton of England and is most likely Kingsware.
