For sale is a Vintage Martin cornet serial number 10xxx! I believe that this horn was made around 1910, although there is not a lot of information out there on Martin instruments from before World War II. This instrument is older and may even be in better shape than the Horn-u-copia listing for the horn. (ID 687)I do not know the model of this horn, but the bell says "The Martin". The valve compression is actually quite good on this cornet. Notice the S-shaped lead pipe design that was very common in the first decade of the 20th century. Because of this the blow of this horn is a little foreign feeling compared to my Olds cornets, but still a very fun horn to play. This horn plays exceptionally well for its age, and has definitely been a "conversation piece" since I have owned it. It is cleaned up and ready to go to you. There are zero dents and dings. All of those have been repaired, so expect some repair marks throughout the horn. Everything moves and slides as it should. It is a very cool horn to play, not to mention it's over 100 years old! Please email me if you have any questions.Be sure to check out my other Trumpet gear related listings!Thank you!!
