Scarce and charming mirror by Wallace Nutting, circa 1910s, the two-part frame of mahogany, the lower portion with mirror plate, the upper portion with hand-colored photograph of an interior with a woman doing embroidery before a fireplace, the sight size of the image 3-3/4" x 2-3/4", the overall dimensions 13-3/4" x 4-3/4". A bit of mild surface ware to frame (small crescent-shaped loss to silvering near top); otherwise fine, attractive condition. One of the lesser-seen formats for Nutting's prints. Though unsigned, the present example can be confirmed as Nutting's work by comparison to documented images that use the identical interior setting.PAYMENT/SHIPPING: Successful U.S. bidder Please see my other auctions for rare and vintage books, historical and advertising ephemera, photos, artwork, and mid-century design.
