This is a 1911 Maxwell automobile catalog, size 7 by 9 1/2", with 32 pages, very well illustrated and in extremely good condition, actually it looks new. This came from the estate sale of a collector, and was in a group of early Maxwell catalogs, all of which were in worn and dirty condition, except this one, which is literally looks like it was just printed. My first thought was, could this be a reproduction, but yet, t is a picture of a Maxwell on the stiff cover, which is embossed or raised, and this is shown by the last picture, and also by the fourth picture showing the inside or back view of the embossing. I have never heard of anyone reproducing early car catalogs like this, but even if they did, the cost of making dies to emboss the picture on the front would be so great that it would be very unlikely. I am selling this as an original, and believe the embossing verifies this. However, if someone buys this and is not happy with it, it can be returned in the same condition for full refund.
