This is a 1913 Model "sword" bayonet, intended to fit the P17 Enfield (aka British P13/P14) rifles. A great piece of history from the worlds greatest war, the war to end all wars. They were made by Winchester, Remington, and Remington-Eddystone and used in WWI and WWII. This particular bayonet is a circle Remington. The overall length of the bayonet is 22". The hilt length is 4-3/4", blade length is 17" long by 15/16" wide by 1/4" thick (at ricasso). Blade appears to have factory edge; fullered groove is 12-1/2" in length. There are several markings on the blade. One side shows cancel marks and U.S. to the right. The obverse - 1913, 9, 1 and Remington. Markings are deep and strong. The Remington stamp is the best I have ever seen. I have included 12 close up pictures so you can judge the condition of the item for yourself. Everyone has a different idea of grading, so this will provide you with everything you need to know to make the best decision.
