Please read the item description and review the photos before bidding . This is a rare, 1914 book book by author, Elizabeth Gordon - "The Butterfly Babies Book." The book is hardcover, 6" x 9" and it was published by Rand McNally & Company of Chicago and New York. It was illustrated by M. T. "Penny" Ross. Of the 80 pages, there are 64 pages of beautifully illustrated pictures of children dressed as nature's butterflies! Each picture first identifies the butterfly by descriptions that are appropriate for young children and each is followed by the official name of the species. There are scuffs and soiling around the edge of the cover and spine. There's a library stamp on the inside front cover and black mark above it where someone appears to have covered another name/stamp. The blank page at the very back of the book is torn at the top near the spine and there's a slight separation between the back cover and the spine.
