DESCRIPTION: Please see our terms and "about us" prior to bidding or buying. These two period pieces are genuine real photo postcards dated 1914 and mailed from the U.S.S. Wyoming which was stationed in Vera Cruz for the Mexican Revolution. They have Vera Cruz stamped at the top of the back. The first postcard has dead bodies and the caption “Victimas de la Guerra.” The back has a letter from a brother with the initials F.E. Dear Sis and Bro Well I will drop you a few lines and send you this picture of the way we left them laying around when we got through with them but some of the (gibs,guts,guvs) laid that way to but not long - as ever your Bro F.E.” I couldn’t make that word out so that is why in parenthesis. The other has lines of Mexicans with guns up. It has “Dear sis an Bro Well I will drop you a few lines to let you know I am fealing good for me and received your loving letters and was glad to here from you- as ever your Bro F.E.” These are in good condition overall with some corner and edge wear and two bottom corner creases in the dead bodies one as shown.
