1915 Antique Silver & Agate Scottish Dirk Pin Brooch with Cairngorm Citrine Rare Antique Silver, Citrine and Agate Brooch. Made by William Johnson & Sons of Clifford Street, Birmingham. Hallmarked 1925 The brooch is crafted in solid sterling silver and is hallmarked on the reverse. The hilt is set with an Cairngorm Citrine; a rare type of quartz only mined from the Cairngorm Mountian range in Scotland and traditionally used in Scottish pebble brooches. The brooch is also set with several different pebble agates. A brown coloured pear shaped pebble and a jasper agate to the sword blade. The whole of the setting is beautifully engraved and decorated with leaves and chased motifs. The brooch measures 45mm in length and 8mm across at the hilt. The silver pin is in good working order. The brooch is in good wearable condition. More photos are available on request.
