For bid is an AMAZING 1915 Charlie Chaplin & Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle LIVE ON STAGE Los Angeles, California charity program celebrating the "First Public Presentation of the Booster Club $2,500.00 Prize Song in Glorification of Southern California." These performances took place at the Shrine Auditorium on August 2, 1915 "under the Auspices of the Los Angeles Examiner" newspaper. This terrific souvenir program has 20 unnumbered pages including covers. The front cover has a beautiful young woman wearing a "Miss California" hat and shwe's singing lyrics around the world. Silent movies and entertainment stars that would perform on the stage are as follows: Madam Ernestine Schumann-Heink, Miss Maud Allan, Eddie Foy (and the little Foys), Raymond Hitchcock, Marcella Craft, Nat Goodwin, Charles Winninger, Florencio Constantino, Miss Flora Zabelle, Lillian Lorraine, Blanche Ring, Charles Murray, Charles Chaplin, Miss Roszika Dolly, Fred Mace, Roscoe Arbuckle, Mabel Normand, George McManus, Louis F. Gottschalk. So, it was an evening of comic skits, music and performances in Los Angeles. This was the same stage w the first Academy Awards ceremony was held in 1929... This is a wonderful item from the earliest days of motion pictures and movies. It's in terrific condition and I have some newspaper information covering the evening's events that I will include. The original owner wrote some comments on a few of the pages in pencil and ink, but mostly in pencil. These could be easily erased. T is some separation along the spine. This is a fantastic piece of silent movies memorabilia from the 1910's. Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever, and don't forget to look at the scan below. I will ship the item for $6.00 (plus 8.75 percent sales tax on items shipped within California). Exact USPS INSURANCE will be added (for the protection of the buyer) to purchases over one hundred dollars. I accept checks, money orders, and now Paypal, too. Please note, however, that t is a delay on personal checks. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
