This handsome, unique postcard dating from the early 1900's features a group of Mexican women making bread. The backside of the postcard contains McDonnell's caption, "Dear Mother, How are you? Am well and happy. Will write soon. Your Son - J O McDonnell." It also contains the date - August 11th 1916 - and two green Mexican two cent stamps. This gorgeous postcard measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". This one-of-a-kind original photo postcard is nearly a century old! A striking, well-preserved image. McDonnell would go on to be corporal and official photographer for the Army Aero Squadron in 1918, during US involvement in WWI. This striking postcard is from the J.O.
