1917 Birds Eye View Camp Travis Panoramic Photo 7 ½ Foot + Long San Antonio TX. Original Panoramic Photograph, over 7 ½ feet long (92 inches), Taken in October 1917. Copyright Mayhart Studio, Chicago, USA. This photo was in the personal collection of a photographer (Van Osdel). He took several photos like this during the time period of World War One, although his name is not on this photograph. I received the photograph many years ago from a relative of his, and it has been rolled for almost a century. For this reason, and do to size, photo will be shipped in an acid free plastic sleeve rolled in a sturdy shipping tube. Some buildings are under construction. You can see in one part of picture, workers resting against building in the shade. Some have large hats, look to be sombreros. The only buildings I can find that have signs are "Tool House" and "Plumbing Department". There are many old vehicles, and I can find a couple of horses also. In good focus except for people who are moving, and because of the shutter speed used at that time, the are blurred. The bright areas in sky at top of some pictures are flashback of camera used to take these pictures for listing. PLEASE NOTE CONDITION!!! There are some wrinkles/creases/bends.
