Selling this hard to find 1917 dated medical field bag, Hospital Corps Pouch, made by Tophams, Wash. D C. Bag is in fine condition except for miscellaneous staining on front and rear. Made to hold an assortment of bandages and tourniquets, and medical instruments in the pockets inside. Also has a feature of two side eagle buttons that snap onto upper top of each side that allows it to be completely enclosed to protect and keep clean the gauze, bandages, etc. Rear has a over the neck or shoulder carrying strap. Straps are held secure with copper reinforcing and heavy brass or copper rivets. See photos for more explanation. Measures closed approximately 12 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches in height, empty. That reminds me, the instruments and bandages are gone and what you are buying is the bag only with strap. Two names of previous owners is written on bag. No reserve.
