1918 Gillette Traveler's Razor Set Up for auction is this great Gillette Traveler's Razor Set that comes complete with three-piece razor, butterscotch-colored leather case, two cardboard blade cases, and 2 cylindrical canisters; one for a Gillette Shaving Brush and one for a shaving stick (both included). The case appears to be a pigskin leather. It may very well have been sold as an officer's shaving kit. I have never seen one of these sets that has leather on the inside top of the case. These particular sets were probably made in very limited quantities. The set is in very good to excellent condition. There is, however, a very small split on the handle under the razor head. These stress fractures were very common in the early Gillettes; often appearing without the razor even being used. Unlike many of these sets, the case top is firmly attached to the case bottom.
