1919 OTTOMAN TURKEY BALKANS SERBIA RUMANIA BULGARIA 1ST Description: From 1919, this is Vol. 8 of a big set, The Literary Digest History of the World War, by Francis Whiting Halsey, published by Funk & Wagnalls Co., New York. This volume is devoted to The War against Turkey in the Caucasus, Egypt, Palestine, the Dardenelles and Gallipoli, Arabia and Mesopotamia (Iraq). Serbia's Tragic Defeat, Roumania (Rumania) overrun and the final victory of the Entente under D'Esperey. Events from 1914-1918. During this period, Turkey and the Ottoman Empire lost much of their territory. A nice copy bound in blue patterned cloth, with lots of maps and prints. 291 pages, 8x5 inches. We don't know of a standalone book on this subject, and to get this one normally, one would have to buy the whole set.
