Original thickly painted oil on canvas: image / canvas size: 32 x 22 inches ( 82 x 56 cm ): signed indistinctly lower right and dated to right of signature: inscribed in pencil on the upper bar verso " San Gabriel Mts. 1919 ": original expensive circa 1919 California Arts & Crafts style custom gold leafed frame ( frame shows some surface wear ): frame size: 36 1/2 x 26 1/2 inches: frame corner hardware has an 1885 patent date ( see photo ): frame shape distortion is from my camera lens only: my photos are somewhat bleached out: actual color is darker and richer: canvas in excellent original condition: no holes or tears.A magnificent soft, atmospheric, thickly painted broad stroke oil view, the work reminds me in quality and technique of Edgar Payne and Maynard Dixon's mountain oils, any which of this size and beauty would be $50,000 and up in auction.
