This is a 1919 vintage singer treadle sewing machine, most certainly used but not by me as I have used it only for decorative purposes in my conservertory. I have know doubt that it could work with a new belt fitted a some TLC. It has its instruction book which on the front says that it is Singer Sewing Machine No. 66. It also has a copy of the hire agreement dated 20/11/1919 where it states that the value of the machine with cover was £15.00. The shop was in Islingdon London and the person who agreed to hire the machine payed twenty shillings for the pleasure. All interesting fun stuff! Needs a loving new home as I am about to downsize.
