Up for auction is a gorgeous lamp made by Pairpoint. It is a Astral or Sinumbra lamp that was made in the 1920's or 1930's. I believe the glass to be all original and all the prisms are accounted for. It works beautifully. The lamp is marked with the Pairpoint Diamond P and is also marked Pairpoint on the base by the cord (please see picture). The glass is in excellent condition. One of the marble corners of the base does show some wear and has rubbed away. This item can be found in Electric Lighting of the 20's & 30's by L-W Publishing (1994). At the time the value was given as $1000 - $3000. It measures approximately 19 1/2 inches tall including the globe. We purchased this at an estate sale for the Chouteau Family in St. Louis.
