Music Box Maker Presents the following item for sale. Please be patient as the pictures and music are loading as they are more descriptive than my words. Ceramic Art Pottery Musical Jug Thorens 29 note movement made in Switzerland plays "How Dry I Am" & unidentified song This is a great combination of early 1920/30s Art pottery combined with a Thorens musical movement made in Switzerland. The jug has a dark brown drip over green glaze on a heavy clay body. This jug was made by Fulper and has a beautiful silver onlay design. We are not sure if the silver onlay is original or was an after market decoration. When we got this jug the silver was heavily tarnished (before pictures included). We cleaned and polished most of the silver and it is stunning. T are some missing (damaged) pieces of silver (see photos). The jug handle has been repaired (see photos) and t is a chip near the base. T is crazing in the glaze. Otherwise, it is in good condition. I have serviced the musical movement and it is in good working order with a just bit of noise from the govenor fan and some foriegn substance on the metal (this does not seem to have any effect the mechanical operation). T is a stop/start mechanism on the bottom. Lift the jug up and the music plays - set it down and it stops. If your speakers are on you should hear it playing. Be sure
