ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS: Hi everyone,thanks for taking a look at our items. Over the next week we will be listing some amazingly fine examples from our collection. You very rarely see private collections like this come up for auction on ebay these days, and all with No Reserve. If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is! We also start everything off nice and low always under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for more items. ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Fine c1920's Pink Guilloche Enamel Sterling Silver Gold Gilt Cigarette Case. The Case is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction, as you can see in the last pictures, including 2 other matching period examples from the same set also listed. The Case is one of the Finest Period examples we have seen. It is of Exceptional Quality Throughout. We have handled alot of Enamel pieces in our many years of collecting, and must say this is the finest quality we have ever seen. The Case is also done in a Very Rare Pink Guilloche Enamel first developed by Faberge, with great Machined Designs as you can see. The Case also has a Rich Gold Gilt Finish both on the inside and outside. The Enamel is also in amazing original condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs, really fine original condition. The Case has also never been monogrammed which is a nice Rare find. The Case also has a Top Quality Sunken in Spring Hinge, that opens the Case nicely once the button is pushed, and the Case opens and closes perfectly. The Cigarette Case is also a nice size for use and carrying measuring 3 1/4 inches long, by 2 1/8 inches wide, and is 1/2 inch thick. The Case is also Amazing Thick Sterling Silver weighting 107 grams. I cannot find any markings on the Case, however if you look at the other 2 matching pieces also listed you will find they are hallmarked with London Sterling Silver import marks for the year 1927, so I am sure that is when this Case was also made. As you can see in the one of the pictures shown out of our books this Case and Compact also listed do match period examples by Faberge, and the Pink Case in the book does have the same London Import Marks as they show. Also being in this Very Rare Pink Guilloche Enamel Faberge is known for, and of this quality I believe these pieces may have actually been made by the firm, or at least Russian in origin. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! I do know it may be some time before you see another example like this, and in this amazing original condition, with No Reserve. The Very Fine Rare c1920s Art Deco Sterling Silver Gold Gilt Pink Guilloche Enamel Cigarette Case would make a great addition to any collection, and is also an excellent investment piece.
