This is a used vintage adjustable extendable variable wall mount medical exam medical needs light that was manufactured by Burton Mfg. Chicago Ills USA . Burton is still in business today. I believe that the light dates from the 1920's 30's. The entire lamp is made of aluminum, steel and brass except for the hooded shade which is made of brown bakelite. This is a used vintage item that does exhibit signs of age, wear and use. The electric cord looks original, it is cloth covered and is frayed. I did plug the lamp in and it does work. There is a large spring type clip that retains the shade and allows the shade to rotate 360 degrees. The head of the lamp where the shade attaches swivels 360 degrees. The joint that allows the head to rotate shows some wear. Overall extension length is about 28". Weighs about 17 - 20lbs. Made extremely well. The lamp arm and flange read more
