This is an interesting collection entitled "The 1920's America Series Stamps." It was compiled by PCS Stamps and Coins. The condition of the portfolio is like new, no flaws, scratches, etc. The outside of the portfolio (picture #1) appears to be some sort of very good artificial leather. It opens vertically. On the inside left (picture #3) is a detailed explanation of the stamps. On the inside right (picture #2) are the stamps themselves. Six of the stamps were issued in 1922 and the remainder of the series was issued between 1923 and 1926. The description points out several "firsts" with this group of regular issue stamps: 1. first fractional stamps, 2. first rgular-issue series to include pictorial images in addition to portraits of famous Americans, first series to feature stamps in both vertical and horizontal formats, first US stamp issued on a specific anniversary date in a relevant city (Rutherford B. Hayes, 11 cent). There are a few other firsts but all of this information is shown in the previously described explanation in picture #3. The final picture (#4) is a closeup example of the stamp with its "feature" as well as first date of issue. This collection is complete and contains the following denominations: 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 20, 25, 30, 50 (all cents) and 1 dollar. All read more
