Vintage 1920's Benedict Indestructo Ice Cream Scoop/Serving Spoon with Bakelite handle (rare) This piece measures 9.75 inches and weight almost 10 OZ! It is one of the heaviest ice cream scraper/spoons I have ever encountered. It's called "Indestructo" and it lives up to it's name. The handle is Bakelite and one side still retains the the silver colored foil that covered the name of the company. It is made of nickel-plated brass. The Bakelite handle and sheer weight and size of this scoop/scraper suggests it was designed for commercial use, making it fairly rare. This rare, unusual and beautiful tool of the roaring 20's would be an excellent addition to any collection and is still functional!
