This is an Irish Tenor Banjo, which what appears to be Chinese artwork on the back of the resonator! When I bought it, maybe 5-6 years ago, and inquired as to the possible age, the salesman took the resonator off and said it was probably made in the 1920s or earlier, due to the wooden beam. (I guess newer ones tend to use a steel rod?). I can't vouch for the salesman's expertise, for all I know, it could be newer, or even much older. I had to drill the holes a bit bigger for them to fit, and was a bit sloppy on one of the holes (as you can see in one of the photos). It looks a lot worse in the photo than it really is, though - all the tuners are very solid, don't wiggle or slip, they stay in tune very well!I may have also replaced the bridge and/or read more
