1920's Oliver Electric/Pyle National Railroad Locomotive Switch/Marker Lantern, NR "> Up for auction is this 1920's locomotive switch lantern. In raised letters on top is Oliver Electric Mfg Co St Louis. In 1925 Pyle-National purchased the Oliver Electric & Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, Mo, which produced a line of electrical fittings, plugs and receptacles, markers, classification and cab lights for locomotives, cars, and shops. This entire operation was moved to Chicago after a year. A pair of these were mounted on the front of the locomotive on either side of the smokebox. This one has been converted to a lamp. The lamp works and the original light inside works and will plug into standard home outlet. Lenses change from blue to clear. One blue lens has a crack as seen in photo. Measures about 13" with handle extended. Please bid based on pics. Offered at No Reserve. Thanks for looking. "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> "> ">
