Original 1920's Peerless radiator or trim emblem in excellent condition. It measures 2 in. in diameter and the rear mounting hardware is no longer present. The Peerless company built it's first car in 1900 after a long history of building bicycles and washing machines. Starting with one cylinder cars, by 1903, the company offered both 2 and 4 cylinder models. Peerless developed a reputation for quality and styling, becoming one of the hallowed 3 "P"s of the era embodying the highest standards of quality (The other 2 "P"s were Packard and Pierce-Arrow). The onset of the Great Depression heralded the end of many builders of quality cars, and Peerless saw the writing on the wall. Peerless built it's last car in 1931 and with the repeal of Prohibition switched to brewing beer. I take great care to describe my items carefully.
