We are delighted to offer you this really swell old antique sterling silver horseshoe shaped brooch, set with genuine green Connemara marble and marcasites- from the Art Deco era! Obviously crafted as a lucky piece for some fortunate gal, this little brooch is in very fine vintage condition, with no missing or damaged stones! It has so much fine detail , and in such a compact area- it measures only 3/4" long by 3/4" wide ! The sterling horseshoe is situated arms up, so the luck doesn't 'fall out'! The horseshoe is edged with intricate millegrain, and set with nifty marcasites in every available space! and, 2 wee clover leafs adorn the front, set at jaunty angles, and each is set with 3 genuine Connemeara marble cabochons! Connemara marble is found only in one place on this green earth, and that would be none other than the Emerald Ilse, Ireland! The marble is mined in the Connemara mountains , and no Irishman, or lassie , should be without a wee piece for luck, and to keep the bond strong between the homeland and the wandering heart! The marble is a mottled pea or sea green, and , the hues of the 6 stones vary ever so slightly! The pin is equipped with a hinged pin and safety clasp, that work fine!
