If you are the high bidder on more then one of my auctions please wait until I e-mail you an invoice so you can save on shipping. This is a 1920"s Sterling Silver Simons Brothers Co. Gold Flower Band Thimble. In the apex (inside top) is the trademark for Simons Co. It is a shield in the shape of an upside down bell with a script S in the middle. On the gold band are flowers and leaves. T is a space for engraving. To the side is the size 9. Some collectors called these thimbles 'applied gold band' but Simons made them by fusing together sheets of silver and gold for the thimble blank. After the thimble was formed, the thimblemaker would cut away the gold above the band before applying the knurling. T is one pin hole on the cap and has a tiny bit of an oval shape. Not bad. The thimble is 3/4" tall, and the diameter of the opening is 10/16". The only thing I ask of the international bidders is that they please speak English and can communicate with me. I only speak only English.
