is a vintage Super-Marvel, Violet Ray Generator, manufacted and sold by Master Appliances Inc. of Marion, Indiana. It is from the 1920's. I believe it was used to generate an electric charge for stimulating hair growth and for muscle aches. Inside the leattte case it has the black bakelite wand and one glass electrode. Any other pieces that were originally included are now missing as is the instructions. The wand is marked 20 W, 115 V, No. M 66. The cord is in good condition, but I have not tried it out. The case is worn but does securely shut and fasten. This belonged to my wife's parents. I don't advocate its use, its old and I wouldn't trust the electrical safeness of the item.
