You are bidding on a very nice silvered glass or mercury glass automobile vase from the long-gone days, in the early part of the 20th century, when cars were still thought of as and built as carriages and flower vases were a distinctive feature. Beautifully molded with attractive ridges and some long narrow "facets" near the bottom, the vase is in good condition, with no cracks or chips in the glass. Given its age, it predictably has some natural wear to the silvering. I've tried to show this in my photo. The vase measures about 7.5 inches long and about 2.5 inches wide at the widest point (the bulb just below the lip).It comes with a custom-made, green-patinated holder, made by a local metalsmith, that can screw into the wall if you would like to display the vase in your house. The items I sell are largely vintage objects, with conditions and characteristics showing some age and use. I make every effort to represent them clearly and fairly, both in words and pictures. Unless I have incorrectly described an item or misrepresented it, sales are final. That said, I am willing to try to work things out with an unhappy buyer; I am interested in good business and good relationships.
