1920s Weidlich Art Nouveau Deco Silver Trinket BoxA stunning example of the mastery of the Weidlich Bros. Manufacturing Co., well known artisans of the Art Nouveau period! This lovely and unusual trinket or dresser box is presented in an Art Nouveau design, with an intricate pattern inside and out. The top is decorated with a gracefully dancing couple atop the geometrically patterned lid; inside the lid is the Weidlich trademark symbol âeoeW.B. Mfg. Coâe with the item number 696-11. Inside the base are four small compartments, each highly decorated. The base is footed, standing on four decorated legs, and even the bottom of the base is decorated. This piece has been lightly cleaned. Weidlich Bros. made some of the finest heavy quadruple silver plated trinket and casket boxes in the early 1900s, so we believe this to be heavy plated silver. T does not appear to be any damage to the plating, but t are areas that still need to be cleaned and examined; we are leaving it up to the new owner to decide its patina. This is a very rare, very lovely Weidlich creation, a wonderful stylized piece!Thank you for looking at this item!
