1920s (B1) 102 Desk Telephone & Ringer Box This classic Western Electric telephone is an outstanding original example of the (B1) Western Electric 102 and has been restored, made modular and is fully functional on today's phone lines. The telephone was completely dismantled, stripped and cleaned. Then professionally powder coated with a new black glossy finish. The Western Electric 102 round based telephone was only manufactured for about 2 years in the late 1920s and is getting difficult to find. It was one of the transitional sets between the candlestick phone and the 202 oval based phones. This is not a reproduction! It has all original Western Electric electrical components. I take great pride and care in restoring these vintage phones and replace a part only if absolutely necessary. A new cloth covered handset cord and cord between the telephone and ringer box were installed. A modular cloth line cord has also been installed between the ringer box and the wall jack. It will work on today’s modern phone lines. Check with your dial tone line provider but the vast majority will accept pulse/rotary dialing. Its ready to plug in and use!
