This is an original excellent condition early 1920s era telegraph related piece of equipment..sounder unit that was made by Western Electric,marked 140OHMS...used to aid in the reception of telegraph signals ,it is in original uncleaned and unrestored as found condition,no breaks or damages...it was used by a member of the St Johnsbury + Lake Champlain Railroad (he also worked for Boston + Maine and Boston + Albany roads as we've sold several railroad items from this estate)..in nice shape,and looks to be damage free with normal surface wear consistent with age and use,it appears to be complete but im not really an expert in this field...,measures 5 1/2" x 3" overall..it looks and displays very well and is guaranteed old and authentic. ....this came from a collection of early telegraph related equipment,check listing to see other pieces.....Shipping is via USPS for thier rate based on weight and distance to your zip, extra overseas via US Airmail ...... ...
