Known as a buffalo hunter, U.S. Marshal, Army scout, avid fisherman, gambler, frontier lawman, and sports editor for the New York 'Morning Telegraph'. His name is William Bartholomew ‘Bat’ Masterson. Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp became law officers in Dodge City, Kansas. Both were special policemen under Ford County Sheriff, Charles Bassett. The ‘Dodge City Times’ reported that M.B.
