Another unusual handmade large 1921 postcard from the United Confederate Veterans of the N.B . Forrest Camp from Chattanooga, Tennessee. The postcard is an invitation to attend a meeting June 7th, 1921 Never mind the weather COME! This particular postcard is very unique in that the crudely drawn image appears to be that of a Moonshine Still , with a Hound Dog , and an old timer smoking his long pipe and wearing what could be a straw hat, and a shotgun. L.J.Dickinson Adjutant is at the bottom of the postcard. " And the Moon Shines Bright on my ole Kain-Tucky Home" The United Confederate Veterans was an American Civil War veterans organization headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was organized on June 10, 1889 by ex soldiers and sailors of the Confederate States ( South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina) .N.B.Forrest was a prominent Confederate Army General during the American Civil War. At the upper right corner of the postcard is a drawing of a smiling full moon. The postcard is postmarked Chattanooga Tennessee 1921 and was sent to J.H.
