1923 U of Michigan Yearbook Michiganensian Thomas Dewey This is the 1923 yearbook for the University of Michigan , known as The Michiganensian .The book includes the senior year of Thomas E. Dewey , Governor of New York (1943–1954) and Republican candidate for US President in 1944 and 1948. T is a famous picture with a smiling President Truman holding a newspaper with the headline DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN which The Chicago Daily Tribune printed in anticipation of Dewey's win. More info on Dewey is available .The picture with the portraits shows Dewey and his class write up. T are two other pictures of him, one as leader of the Glee Club (he considered singing professionally), and another with his fraternity.I got the yearbook from my grandfather, Arend E. Boer, who was also a senior at U of M in 1923 and is covered in the yearbook. CONDITION: It is in great condition with light wear. The binding is intact with all pages anchored securely. The only marking I can find is my grandfather's signature on the page opposite to the title page. PAYMENT: I can accept PayPal, including using a credit card. I will not accept personal checks.
