hi, here are some specifics on this tome: The Unknown Turner. Anderson, John E, Jr. Book Description: Privately Printed for the Author, New York, 1926. Hardcover. The Scribner Press. "This book, printed from type which has been distributed, is strictly limited to one thousand copies"; this copy is # 16. A masterpiece of art scholarship, and chronicle of obsession. Ansderson, a bookseller turned auctioneer, believing he had uncovered hidden Turner signature marks, dedicated years ferreting out original works of art by Turner-- over 20,000 in all. The art world has debated their authenticity ever since. "Revelations concerning the life and art of J.M.W. Turner, with an account of the discovery of his hidden signatures and dates and the publication of the only known original manuscript of any of his sketching tours." the book's in very good shape, especially considering its age! all pages secure, etc. it's got wear, but no glaring defects. the inside pages are unusually tight/perfectly lined up, etc. the cover picked up some dirt/dust in storage, but i'm pretty sure that can be easily cleaned off this is selling for $100+ on other rare book sites please see photos for the "extra info" on what i've got here shipping is $4 PLEASECHECK MY FEEDBACK; IT’S ALL ULTRA SUPER POSITIVE.
