It has a red 'jewel' in the end and was an advertising or promotional item from the AMP Society in 1926 , The Leading Life Office, acquired assets valued at 65 million pounds! A bit of plate has worn off but this does not detract from the piece in the slightest. A rare pencil and one which is sure to add that special something to any home, office or collection.
